Sometimes pregnancy brings uncertainty, medical concerns, unexpected information, or decisions you never imagined having to make. A complex reproductive history can also shape how you experience a new pregnancy, fertility treatment, or the possibility of becoming a parent. Susan offers a space to slow down, process what is happening, understand the emotional impact, and consider what comes next.

A high-risk pregnancy, pregnancy complications, significant maternal or fetal concerns, unexpected developments, or uncertainty about what the future may hold can create an enormous emotional burden.
Learning that your baby may have a fetal anomaly or a serious or life-limiting diagnosis can change the experience of pregnancy immediately. There may be fear, grief, uncertainty, conflicting emotions, and difficult decisions.
• Infertility or fertility treatment
• IVF/IUI and assisted reproduction
• Multiple pregnancy losses
• Previous miscarriage
• Previous Termination for Medical Reasons (TFMR)
• Previous stillbirth or infant loss
• Pregnancy after loss or infertility
• Prior reproductive or medical trauma
When there are different paths forward, therapy can provide a neutral, nonjudgmental space to explore your options and consider what each may mean for you, your pregnancy, your family, and your emotional well-being.
This may include exploring the possibility of continuing a pregnancy to term, pregnancy termination, or other options appropriate to your individual circumstances. My role is not to tell you what decision to make. It is to provide a space where you can process information and emotions, ask difficult questions, consider your values and circumstances, and make the decision that is right for you.
A pregnancy after loss or infertility can bring hope and anxiety at the same time. It can be difficult to trust the process, connect with the pregnancy, or allow yourself to feel hopeful.
Medical appointments, procedures, unexpected information, emergency interventions, and difficult decisions can leave a lasting emotional impact. Therapy can provide space to process what happened without having to explain or minimize it.
